JJ never said GG was the best he has seen (in college). Junes coached ED at Atlanta so keep in mind JJ's opinions probably excludes NFL players.

Line was an incredible back. Beyond his running and catching the ball, he was the best pass blocking back SMU has ever had.

Shead doesn't have to out produce Zach to be the best JJ's seen. If Shead creates greater challenges for Ds then it is due to Head being a more versatile back. And that opens u- the field for other players. Perhaps JJ’s opinion isn’t based on the most rushing yards or best pass blocking but on the ability to create the maximum amount of headache for opposing Ds.

I think JJ said GG was the most prepared QB he'd ever had...or something to that effect.
