I think Fatterson is right to criticize Miles in this instance, especially since they face each other in the first game with Hill in the lineup. No way do you allow the team to vote to reinstate - what the hell are the players going to say, NO??? Discipline comes from the coach on down. This is the reason why 5-10 LSU kids seem to get arrested every year.

I rarely defend Fatterson and his Chris Farley-esque antics, but in this situation, he is correct. Miles is such a DB. And a coward.

we are rivals. we play every year. our schools are less than 45 minutes apart, and our student populations are basically made up of the same type of kids. you got your act together 10 years before we did, and you are reaping the rewards.. Congrats, you have earned it, and you have given SMU admin something to mirror and try to strive for.

i'd love to have a Fatterson-type guy here at SMU that would stay for a decade and break through the 7 win plateau that we've seemed to hit.

actually seems like June and Patterson handled things pretty much the same. June has given a lot of kids second chances. He has dealt with serious criminal charges against 2 SMU players by kicking them off the team but allowing them to earn their way back. Patterson did the same with Paschal. That's probably the best and fairest way to handle things.
