Re: Traylon Shead looking to make his markHe might end up being a stud, but I'll believe he's better than Zach Line when he shows it.
Re: Traylon Shead looking to make his markHal, you must mean show it in games because apparently he is showing it in practice or JJ would not ave said that. Actually GG had more yards than Zach did on the last 3 games of the year. Remember also that Traylon will be playing against tougher defenses in the AAC than Zach played against in the CUSA. Remember we all thiught that things would go bad when Shawnbrey left but it did not. Traylon seems to be a cross between Line and Shawnbrey. You sound like you are rooting against Traylon.

Re: Traylon Shead looking to make his markLets hope he is the winner of the Heisman.
Re: Traylon Shead looking to make his mark
That is 100% true and will be true after facing Texas Tech. Keep in mind it will still be summer at that point in time. ![]()
Re: Traylon Shead looking to make his markAt the risk of being too optimistic (my challenge, I know), JJ may have more offensive weapons (potential) than with any other team. This season, perhaps SMU is the surprise team in our new conference, exceeding everyone's expectations. If there is a year that we might step up in class, it may be with this team, which is assumed to be in the middle of the pack.

Re: Traylon Shead looking to make his markFrom Rivals.com, AAC Newcomers that will make an impact:
SMU RB Traylon Shead Measurables: 6-foot-2, 230 pounds. Corsicana (Texas) Navarro J.C. Recruiting rankings: High school: Four stars. No. 16-ranked running back and No. 227 overall. JuCo: Three stars. No. 45 overall. Buzz: Shead initially signed with Texas out of high school, but after time at Navarro Junior College he elected to run with the Mustangs. Shead was on campus for spring practice and looked good. He had quickness and good hands, and he understood blocking technique. That should get him on the field. He will be stepping in immediately to fill the void left by Zach Line. The word out of Texas is that Shead has rededicated himself to football and will be playing with a chip on his shoulder because his recruitment the second time was much quieter than his first. While he is more of a straight-up runner, the expectation is that he comes in and is one of the best backs in the conference. Others: http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/co ... ID=1533308 Pony Up
Re: Traylon Shead looking to make his markSMU only needs a straight ahead runner since we only have 1 running play
