3 new coaches in the AAC

Postby Rebel10 » Sat Aug 10, 2013 10:44 pm

Tuberville, Taggert, and Rhule are new at Cincy, USF, and Temple respectively. Let's take a look and see what positions they recruited the most in their first class which is the 2013 class.

Cincy - 4 DB's, 3 DE's, 3 TE's, 2 Athletes, 2 QB's, 2 WR's, 2 RB's, 1 OL, 1 LB

USF - 6 DB's, 4 DT's, 3 DE's, 3 RB's, 3 LB's, 2 OL's, 1 QB, 1 WR, 1 K

Temple - 4 OL's, 3 LB's, 3 RB's, 3 DT's, 3 DE's, 1 Athlete, 1 QB, 1 K

Seems like their first classes we heavy on defensive recruits. If they have concerns on defense I think that makes our chances better.

They could all have 11 all American candidates on their defenses who happen to be juniors and seniors and feel they want to replace them for the future. That is extreme, but the point is you recruit for the future not to fill holes for the immediately upcoming year.

Louisville signed 2 quarterbacks, so by your logic they must have concerns with bridgewater for this year. Too bad we do not play them, always an advantage to play a team with concerns about their qb.

Good point Grant. Since we will probably be playing them for s while maybe we have the advantage in future years. I do think USF and Cincy had some immediate defense line needs. Either way it should be fun playing those teams for the first time.
