Just going by recruiting as many on this board do, they should be Top Ten every year. His coaches are good. So maybe it's the guys they recruit have peaked in high school and have nowhere to improve. Obviously they are not a bad team like we used to be, but they haven't played up to expectations. That is Mack's fault, either in player evaluations or game decisions.

Tidepony did not mean to infer that Mack and Saban were in the same class as coaches. Just simply pointing out what a great coaching staff can/should do with elite talent. Right now Saban stands alone.
