They've been sending them out in that format to Tech season ticket holders for several years now. At my household, we get season tickets to both (although more SMU games are actually attended -- all for me and most for him, and only 2-3 a year for him, usually just 1 or maybe 2 for me). This year, theirs came with a VIP card with discounts to local restaurants. SMU used to do that, but hasn't in several years. No more free fried pickles at Pluckers for us. :(

There was a line for faculty and staff tickets at 9:15 this morning. Loud and proud from section 102.

Is this a blue out? White out? Assume it's not a red out.

White.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

White.
How many people will even know it's white out?

How would anyone have any clue that it's a white out? Is it marked that way on the schedule posters? Season ticket brochure? I imagine that it will be announced in the DMN and through the SMU email system and maybe in an email blast to Mustang Club donors and season ticket holders. That's about all you can do if you don't predetermine a game or two as a white out.

Hopefully they've stopped promoting it as a white out because it's such a stupid [deleted] idea
