Who was it for? It was clearly addressed to ponyboy in response to ponyboy's post.smumustang1980 wrote:Stallion wrote:Ponyboy It must kill you that you spent 2 years defending incompetence and then every criticism I had over that period became official SMU policy. You've been on the wrong side of the debate for 20 years-get a clue.
What? Are you talking about? And who was this statement for? What does this have to do with Texas A & M seating?

If we want to put Aggie fans in the equivalent seating if they return to SMU we should seat them on top of Expressway TowerPonymon wrote:BTW, we treated their fans much better as far as ticket location is concerned than they treated ours. We should put their fans up in the upper deck of our endzone if they ever play another game in Ford. Those are still better seats, however, than what you will have at Kyle Field!

Got news for you, in TCU's new stadium the visitor's seating is up high and near the end zone....as far away from the field as they can get them. Bring a parachute.Stallion wrote:Got my TCU and A&M tickets today
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

What section did you get seats in? I received some in section 227. Doesn't seem to be too terribly high.PK wrote:Got news for you, in TCU's new stadium the visitor's seating is up high and near the end zone....as far away from the field as they can get them. Yes, my TCU tickets are high, but not as bad as A&M and I will keep them. As for A&M, I'm trading.PK wrote:Got news for you, in TCU's new stadium the visitor's seating is up high and near the end zone....as far away from the field as they can get them. Mine are 226 NN (short for Nose bleed). Are we really spread around this much? Or, are we really bringing this many fans? I hope so.PlanoPony wrote:What section did you get seats in? Did you get your tickets through SMU? I went to one of their games last year, Tech I believe, and the majority of the visitors appeared to be in sections 412 thru 416 and 312 thru 316. If you haven't been to a game there yet, it is hard to explain about how high it is. It is the highest section in the stadium and sits at a pretty steep angle...or at least that's what it looks like from the concourse level. The main point is that the visitors are a long ways from the field and thus it's hard to hear their cheers by the visiting team that is located on the opposite side of the field. There may have been some visiting team fans in 226 and 227 also now that I think about it.PlanoPony wrote:What section did you get seats in? I received some in section 227. Also note that the entire lower level on the side of the visiting teams benches is all TCU student seating.

Just got a surprisingly good deal on (1) A&M ticket in Section 145 around the 25+ yardline... Go lucky.

Yeah I'm 227, Row X! That seems pretty high! I'll take my vertigo medicine.PK wrote:Did you get your tickets through SMU? Re: Texas A&M Seating
When I went for the game two years ago, we had a group of 20 or so, that sat on the A&M sideline at about the 20, about 20 or 30 or so rows back. We didn't mind sitting in the middle of the aggies. It actually made it a lot more fun. I didn't feel like I was going to be murdered like I was at Tech. So I would recommend you ditch your nosebleeds if you can.
Can't remember how much it cost, but it wasn't bad at all. I do remember there being that other group of SMU people (a whole section) stuck in the corner that were, more or less across, from us as well.
Side note/pro tip - slip the dude in the super premium aggie lot (basically the closest to the stadium reserved for the big boosters) some cash ($10, maybe $20) and they'll let you park/tailgate there. Tons of space, no one will bother you. We had about 5 different cars do it. I just found it funny since it was their booster lot that was really, really empty.

Yes, but you will be expected to stand all game. However, you will be allowed to sit at quarter-end!smumustang1980 wrote:Just got a surprisingly good deal on (1) A&M ticket in Section 145 around the 25+ yardline... Go lucky.

Re: Texas A&M Seating
