Tech Fans Are White Trash

They behaved better than I thought. I got a kick out of one Tech fan in front of me going to the police because another Tech fan in front of him wouldn't sit down. I was expecting much worse out of them.

I've also heard every other team boo when out players fall. It was just louder today because there were so many Tech fans. It's definitely on purpose to slow down a fast offense. The real question is why are we never prepared for a fast, no-huddle offense? We struggle against them year after year.

Every up-tempo team we play boos every team who they think are faking injury. I've witnessed UH, Baylor and many on TV. And don't kid yourself some of these injuries aren't. Its a defensive strategy. NCAA even addressed issue with new penalties. Kirk Herbstreet wrote about it last week

I have been to college football games across the country for decades and I have never heard tens of thousands of fans boo a fallen player from the opposing side as regularly as the Tech fans. They are the epitome of white trash. My family comes from Lubbock, and my mother is a Tech alum - although she now is an avid Mustang fan. She and I were appalled at the poor sportsmanship on such a massive scale. It's not just a few. Then they started throwing things on the field from the endzone.

After one play in the 3rd quarter, two SMU defenders looked at each other across the field trying to determine which one was supposed to feign a cramp and, failing that, they both flopped to the turf with "cramps". It was so obviously fake and comical that we Tech fans booed with gusto! Y'all know SMU players feigned injury several times so stop with the self-righteous nonsense. We would never revel in an opposing player's legitimate injury and we know how to spot fake injuries thanks to the Aggies...who would never lie, cheat, or sign thousands of autographs....

OK I'll break some news to the naïve. June Jones has his players fake injuries and will until the rules change. Its just too obvious over the last 3 years or so.

Everyone in Texas dislikes Tech fans. I don't hate the Texas A&M fans. They have and respect tradition and despite the saber incident years ago in College Station, I have never been disrespected at an A&M game. The real Aggies have some class. They understand sportsmanship.

I like how we're being criticized when Tech players were trashing all over the ground with seemingly season-ending injuries...then calmly walked off the field. It was like watching the Mexican soccer league.
