There is an interseting story on former SMU assistant Oscar Giles on the Texas Rivals homepage discussing how Giles has emerged in his first year on the UT staff as one of the ace recruiters on the Texas staff. (UT also now has Ken Rucker formerly of A&M and other stops who has always been considered one of the best recruiters). Prominent quotes from Texas commitments Eddie Jones(the No. 1 rated DE prospect in the country) and top DB Deon Beasley. The story indicates that Giles is mentioned time after time as the reason for players interest in UT.
