I understand dropping Baylor to better our chances of not going 0-4,
but wouldn't scheduling North Texas instead of Montana State have accomplished
pretty much the same thing as far getting a win, but possibly been better attended?

That has been my argument all along. Schedule UNT, Idaho, New Mexico State, etc. Plenty of FBS teams that are worse than Montana State yet not as embarrassing if you lose. In the case of UNT at least they bring plenty of fans.

I don't think our fans would really show up to a NTCC game any better than last night but we might have gotten a bigger visitor crowd. If not mistaken, we will play the next year through 2025.

SFA would have been better attended as well and provided an easier win (since this whole dropping Baylor thing was about running from real competition).

It was more fun playing Southwestern or SFA. They brought better crowds and their bands. Whoever schedule MSU over Baylor has their head way up the arse. Dumb, dumb. This attendance has nothing to do with having pathetic fans. This attendance is all about Turner, Jones and Hart being pathetic. Time for new school president, AD and coach. We need to clean house.

We don't need to schedule 3 pathetic teams and a tcu. Our conference is already pathetic enough. Have a unt and a kansas then get tcu and one good team at the minimum.

I never said to schedule all 3 and TCU. I am simply listing possible schools to play that would be better options than Montana State.

totally agree, dumb scheduling. If you are gonna schedule an FCS team to get an easy win why would you pick one that has been in the FCS champ game multiple times recently? And with 20 Texans on the roster one that would come in loaded for bear? Makes no sense. And it was impossible for our team and our fans to not have a letdown coming off of Tech and playing an FCS even if we knew we had to respect them.
