SMU head coach June Jones, quarterback Garrett Gilbert and safety Jay Scott met the media after Saturday's 31-30 victory over Montana State. Shortly thereafter, running back K.C. Nlemchi visited with PonyFans.com to discuss his breakout performance, in which he led the Mustangs with 54 rushing yards and scored his first college touchdown. June is the most animated I've seen in awhile. He looks happy about something that he saw on the field, and I don't mean that sarcastically.

I hope KC will continue to get some playing time. He is a really class person who wants to help this team. Had a good game and adds another dimension to our running game.

June sounds a lot happier and more upbeat than every single one of us.

Speak for yourself. I saw my Mustangs beat a solid Montana State team last night. Opponent was pretty good, we dug ourselves out of a rut and Gilbert led a last-minute drive to win it.
Way to go, Mustangs!

Nlemchi seems like a really good guy. Definitely like his emphasis on trust. I just hope he can continue showing the coaches he has what it takes to get on the field. Best of luck to him.
