Injury updates

Post by PonyPride »

• WR Der'Rikk Thompson sprained his left foot in the final minutes of the game when he rolled it. He said after the game that the injury was minor, and that he expects to be back on the practice field this week, perhaps as soon as Tuesday.

• RB Prescott Line twisted an ankle, leading to K.C. Nlemchi's insertion into the lineup, but Line later returned to the lineup with his ankle re-taped. Line said the injury is not serious.

• CB Chris Parks sat out the win over Montana State with a twisted knee, and admitted that sitting on the bench, unable to get into the close game, was anguishing. Parks said his knee is feeling better, and that he will be ready to face Texas A&M in two weeks.

He was anguished because he wanted to go on the field so he could be ineffective? I seriously think every team game plans to throw all night at Parks. When Montana State saw that he wasn't on the field, they probably had a moment's panic...Mason needs to do something to help him out.

So we had two keys on D out (Rambo and Parks). Parks plated well against TTU and his experience would have been nice to have. And Rambo's absence was painfully clear last night. Early in the season and injuries are already making a huge difference in our play.

Will say however, that last night Montana State threw at Acker a lot more than JR...

You're kidding right? Parks was extremely ineffective against Tech, as he is against every team. If he's not getting burned, he's getting P.I. calls. His one good play was in the first half when he had the most blatant P.I. in the endzone that was a no call.

So Rambo, Shead, Parks, Thompson and Line all expect to be ready for A&M game. Good.
Thanks for the report, PP.

It was interesting how we didn't have as many "injuries" during the game last night as we typically do. Maybe the refs warned JJ about the "flops"?

Tech had a lot a cramps also. MSUs tempo was much slower so less cramps for both teams.

I suggest worring about more important issues.

Agreed! I'm not that concerned with June's cramps Image

A few guys were getting treated on the sideline for cramps last night, but nothing like last week.
