If Okafor commits to Kansas (I keep hearing that he and Tyus Jones are a package deal), do we become the front runner for Turner? I honestly think that's one of the things that Turner is waiting for - to see where Okafor commits. I hope he commits to Kansas. Seems that would really help our chances.

Okafor commits to Kansas and Turner commits to SMU (not attending their midnight madness is a plus for us even if it's simply a scheduling conflict - he doesn't get to see that which is good for us). Someone needs to take him on a tour of the Moody construction . . . "the house that Myles built" . . . establish your legacy here . . . although at 17 / 18 y.o., that wasn't anywhere near my priority list -- establishing a legacy . . . it was more about girls, winning, and the uniform.

EM will play point, not the 2. While I have no doubt he will be 100% committed to SMU, in the big picture his one year on the Hilltop is a springboard to the 2015 NBA draft where he will be a PG. Most likely a top 3-5 pick. LB will coach him on how to run a team.

Yeah, EM is a one and done and maybe Frazier leaves the same year as EM which is why you see LB and staff going after all these 2015 guards. IF we can land Turner, next year could be historical and a springboard to a longer term SMU successful run (we being mentioned as a favorite to make it to the tournament for years to come).

Holy effing [deleted]! That's a SICK lineup (3 five stars and 2 four stars with 4 star backups across the board). Damn. And 4 of the starters are all from right here in big D!

That's a tournament team and, dare I say, a possible Sweet 16 team but I'm getting my hopes up way too high so I'm going to settle back down for a bit.

If it shakes out like that it will unbelievable. I still think Turner ends up at Kansas but I thought the same thing about EM to Kentucky. The fact that Turner put off his Kentucky visit leads me to believe he's leaning another direction. EM picking us changed everything. We can't be counted out for anyone in the 2014 class.

If you want to view the state of the program this way, we will probably have the most talented SMU team in my lifetime (I'm 40, I'm a man!) take the court in November. We will follow that up next year by adding a freshman who is probably the most talented player to ever play for our school. It's pretty unbelivable
