Just can't beat the navy or 'dark' royal blue jersey!!!
Crimson would definitely be better than red but the blue definitely looks good.
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

This mockup I made before we switched to Nike IMO would be the best route for us to go. No, we have not had a consistent look, but I created concepts based off of uniforms we wore when were at our best (1948 & 1982). http://www.ponyfans.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=59088&hilit=pro+combatThe uniform mockups I have seen on this thread do not really show our history. Please use a respectable graphics editing program such as photoshop or even gimp if you are going to attempt a mockup. Any fourth grader can use a custom high school jersey maker on some company website.

Ok, I've seen this helmet before (as I recall the cover picture of an article on foxsports comparing SMU and Penn States, um, penalties) What is this from?????
SMU at Tulane... Superdome makes helmet look gray, also seems to be aome sort of filter applied when touching up photo.

Your mockups are phenomenal! I would switch to those in a heartbeat. Everything else I have seen our fans put out is garbage.

Agreed. Our unis have a nice classic look, but some of the new ones I've seen this year make me want to update them.

My vote is for a mirrored red helmet throwback.

I love all of those. The only change I would consider is switching from gray to red or blue on the undershirt for the white unis.

Those mock-ups are better than any and every uniform we've had since at least 1986 - and maybe ever.

When it comes to the crazy uniform designs, I have wondered if SMU has been approached the Nike or Adiddas about it and SMU said no. It is far fetched but nothing this school does surprises me anymore

Does jones even really care about unis? Not a shot but he seems disinterested in that kind of thing.
What bothers me is Hart was throwing out all sorts of coy hints on twitter and we roll out with last year's uniforms.
