I think Rice beats Houston this weekend. We'll see. I'm actually glad we don't have them on the schedule this year.
Texas has lost to two good teams - I don't think that will matter when UT comes for Mack's job, but I think they are better than than a lot of teams in the Big XII. Again time will tell.

It's the same Rice team that has progressed faster than the June Jones-coached SMU team has.

We have allowed them to pass us up.

Good for Rice! I thought last year when they put a hurt on us that they might win the CUSA West this year. I still think they can. I'd love to see them take Tulsa down and then ECU in the Championship Game. CUSA is a good conference for them. Don't want them to beat Houston since we play the Coogs and need them to be highly ranked when we beat 'em.

We have a fundamental agreement, Calallen. My point is still a good one. We had a loud group on here bemoaning last year's Rice loss as somehow analogous to the Tulane loss.
