So it seems obvious that it will be blue jerseys, ala 1983 Cotton Bowl I'm guessing.

My fear is that we lose the game, and they are forever known as 'bad luck', like Notre Dame's green jerseys, and we are stuck with red for the rest of time.

You're making too much sense. Clearly they were awful luck in the early 80's as well

Only when the 'Benjamin's" were falling out from underneath the blue jerseys, did the blue jerseys become bad luck.

Being from the newer generation I guess, I've always like the red jerseys but I would be down for one game here and there have a blue jersey. One thing I wish could change is being able not to wear white for visiting.

You certainly don't speak for most of the "newer generation". The blue unis are the only thing we should ever wear.

Blue is my favourite colour so that's what I prefer.
Red tops on white bottoms reminds me of the USSR uniforms like the women are wearing in my current avatar. My avatar is not about the Soviets in the pic but 2 other women in the pic.
