I'm sure SMU will be well represented. You all brought a respectable number of fans to the 2011 game. Don't see why this year would be much different.

11AM kickoff will deter many from making the drive from Dallas. Also, there isn't quite as much enthusiasm around the program now as there was in 2011. I hope we still bring a strong contingent out there, though.Frog Barrister wrote:I'm sure SMU will be well represented. You all brought a respectable number of fans to the 2011 game. I know, but if the game were at 2:30 or later people would be more inclined to do it. I'm not making excuses for these people, it's pathetic, but we're not exactly Notre Dame in terms of a travelling fan baseBergermeister wrote:East Coast Mustang wrote: making the drive from Dallasnot exactly an overnighter

Stallion- will you be wearing your purple or white TCU polo?
The 11am time slot absolutely blows though.. No tailgate time

That's pretty pathetic if we couldn't sell out our own allotment for our biggest rivalry game that's a one hour drive from campus. Easiest road trip every other season. Can't sugarcoat that at all.

You specifically left out SMU in your statement, should I infer that is what you meant? You have been to every SMU home game for the last 48 years and have traveled to Fort Worth for every SMU game versus TCU? That is impressive. It is hard to tell sometimes by your statements what team you root for. People can either be Negative Nellies or Positive Pearls. It is all in the delivery guess.Stallion wrote:I've sat my [deleted] in a seat at every home game for 48 years and haven't missed a TCU game home or away in 45 years

Just wait, TCU will have trouble selling tickets in the not so distant future.

Damn...there you go ruining a good b itching session.Smerkins wrote:I just called the ticket office and they said they still had tickets......

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
