Please guys, don't try to talk me out of rooting for an SMU win... You are missing the point, I am attempting to remind us that there is always hope. Do I think we will win ? No! Just tired of all the negativity. I will enjoy the game no matter what. I love watching Johnny Football! Just laid out a little history lesson and a multi item recipe for a HUGE upset. Damn, I hope our players don't hit this site!

Yeah Skurtn, I know, I just would have hoped people could chime in with other David vs Goliath like games that went David's way, instead of pretending like my original post was an ACTUAL PREDICTION. Like I said, it will be entertaining either way this game goes.
highlites from SMU's 1974 Upset of Texas A&M-but mostly from Aggie perspective. Go to 19:05 mark. Good look at SMU greats-NG Louie Kelcher and TE Oscar Roan who were best players at their position in SMU History

I want to see our team show a national television audience that we play good football in an attractive manner. I would also point out that while we are quite rightly huge underdogs in this game, I recall the atmosphere at CS two years ago when, despite having spotted them a 14-0 lead by giving them the ball in great field position, JJMcD overthrew a receiver wide open on the 15 year line missing what was a sure TD that would have tied the scores at 21. You could sense real nerves. Of course the second quarter saw the game end as a contest as we were totally unable to move the ball but I would point the the first quarter as one of the best performances by the offense in a long time (of course subsequent to KP throwing two easy picks). We hugely outgained them in the first quarter and I believe we would have been winning the game had the first two series not gone the way they did. What we need this year is a lot more of those drives, and let's hope our RB can run for 140 something like ZL did.

Upset of the year(s). We deserve it
We need a show from KC. Hopefully they keep feeding him because he's the only RB that can give us a game changing moment. I loved hearing my Aggie friends praise and worry about Line the last few years. Lets give them someone else to be concerned about.
