I agree with Hoss. Mason is not a mail it in kind of guy, or at least nothing I’ve seen or heard suggest that. If you see the PF interview … there is defiantly a little tongue-n-cheek humor in that remark. Mason always injects a little humor in everything he does, it’s his style, and it can have a dry sarcastic way about it. Plus, a little deserved credit to a great athletic, no biggie. At the end of that interview he goes on to say … This is what you live for, games like this, an atmosphere like that, National TV and chance to make a statement. He is a realist, so far A&M is better this year than last year an overall our “D” is not right now .. IMO. Not trying to stir the recruiting debate, but he is not going to sprinkle magic dust on our “D” and make them something they are not. So the hated “we do what we do” is apropos here. Prepare and execute your game plan and your scheme flawlessly … eliminate mental mistakes, stay assignment disciplined, make in game adjustment when/where/if you can … and go out and have a blast with no fear and enjoy the moment. Players have all seen upsets and underdogs win … anything is possible … but not if you are tight and fearful of losing in a game like this. Our players are not idiots, they saw the A&M game and they see the quality. You are not going to blow smoke up their skirts. So, you embrace the moment and the opportunity … Lose as a goose, no fear, take no prisoners, with a F…U chip on your shoulder, let it all hang out and have fun to the final whistle. This is not a defeatist approach. For anyone that has ever played in a game like this, you know what I’m talking about. If I was coaching, I would be least stressed for this game than any other this year, and looking forward to it.

I want Nick Offerman to play Mason in the made for TV movie of June's SMU career.

June will be played by a sack of potatoes- oddly enough Peruna = potato in Finnish.
Leader of the Band-itos.

Scheme the hell out of Saturday and throw everything you have at this one game and make a name for yourself, that's how I'd approach this game.

Hhmm, good to know that's how you'd approach the game.
