Sumlin had his boys coached up to execute, we didn't. It's all about having your players focused and prepared, and recruiting the players who have the talent to execute

We deserve this. And we can get this. I hope we've made a few phone calls this year.LA_Mustang wrote:Sumlin had his boys coached up to execute, we didn't. It's all about having your players focused and prepared, and recruiting the players who have the talent to execute

A sincere thank you to Sumlin
The fans are embarrassed. But I am not sure our coaches are. At least they get a paycheck out of it. We pay to be embarrassed.PoconoPony wrote:We should be totally embarrassed and any rationalizations by JJ are unacceptable..

Man o Man-this could have been a lot worse. We are lucky they didn't get 50 in the first half.

Also continuously going for it on first downs. Sumlin wanted to put this game away in the first half, but at least didn't try to continue to hang points on us.LA_Mustang wrote:I think the onside kick was to say, not only do I have superior talent but I'm a better coach than what you've got too

Re: A sincere thank you to Sumlin
I don't think Sumlin took JM out because he didn't want to run up the score. He took him out because he did not want to risk injury and wanted to give the backups some experience in case Johnny goes down. It was just a smart coaching move when you have the game in hand. If we had made a comeback we would of seen Johnny again. So I don't thank Sumlin.
