All of these suggestions sound awesome. The wife seemed pretty pumped about Ozona and then the boulevard on game day. I forgot to mention that we are 28 and 26, no kids yet, that is why we are traveling!

Get out to the Boulevard early then explore Dallas in the evening. It's probably better that way from a visitor's perspective, to tell you the truth. The 'Vard won't be rocking full swing, but at least you get the game over early and don't have to hurry through your activities in the city to try to get to the game.
