Have We Run any Zone Read Plays this Year

Post by Harry0569 »

Forgive me if I missed it, but I swear I haven't seen us run very many (if at all) zone read plays.

GG has 30 rushes for 103 yards (3.43 avg yuck) thus far...

Most of those are sacks/scrambles. We might have run zone read/QB keeper a handful of times (like 3 or fewer).

we ran more than three in the bowl game and it worked. Getting gilbert mobile had great success for us last year at the end of the season.

Folks know he can run it and are prepared for it. We have run it but not i the red zone. Also, why show it before conference play? More than the zone read, I Iike the bootleg. We scored against TTU with it. I wish we had run it last year. With GG ability to throw and run, it puts far more pressure on the D than just a zone read.

None against tech. A few against MSU. None I believe against A&M. We are obviously saving a lot of the offense for conference.

I sure hope so...it has been really ugly up to now.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Now we just have to determine what conference we will be in when it is exposed.

Eff it, let's bust out whatever we have been holding back against the froggies and let everyone else in the AAC we're coming for them.
