I laughed

Post by mrydel »

Listening to a local Arkansas radio sports call in show on the drive home. One listener emailed a question asking if the Razorsbacks' new, state of the art indoor sports facility had the ability to simulate rain since the weather is beautiful and rain is predicted for their game with A&M Saturday.

Well...it is Arkansas. 8)
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Now that I think about it, I posted on the BB board that Bud Walton Arena is out of commission due to water damage to the floor. I wonder if the football team went over there and had a rain simulated practice.

That's to bad about Walton Arena. Watched some pretty good Arkansas/Kentucky basketball games there back in the mid late nineties when both teams were in the top ten.

Walton or Barnhill? Not sure when Walton was built but I did not think it was that old. I have never been in either but it is said Barnhill was unbelievably loud and they lost a little of that with Walton.

Walton. This was mid to late 90's when the Hogs won the national championship

Just looked it up. Opened 1993. I am getting so old. I would have bet money Walton was not over 10 years old. And I mean the arena, not Bud himself.

I did that at Wednesday night's Texas Rangers game. Couldn't believe the Ballpark was opened in 1994.
