We are now down to about 5,000 die hard fans and they are falling out fast. Your a great fan and I always am impressed how you make the trip down every home game. We will see what happens.
I share every frustration you do. I just do not see Hart as the current problem. How he handles the future will be interesting to see.

mrydel- with all due respect I disagree. Following is a copy of a post by PoconoPony from another thread. As you can tell from RH's response he feels there is no problem with our fball program. This kind of attitude just drives me up a wall and is exactly why I have not bought tickets for the last two yrs.
PoconoPony posted: I have exchanged 3 emails with AD Hart wherein I expressed my displeasure and concern with the plight of this football team. He has courteously responded that he sees no issues and believes the team is competitive, plays with emotion and is well coached. I understand his need to be politically correct in his responses and I would also respond similarly if I were him; however, I am not sure if he actually believes his responses and/or is being politically diplomatic.

Red:
The only solution you have had to any issue at SMU is to fire the coach. There is much more to an AD's job than just firing coaches. And that includes hiring coaches. You cannot just fire someone and have all problems solved. PoconoPony can email me several times at my job and express his dissatisfaction and I can assure you I will not disclose to him anything I am doing within my work that is not directly related to him.
What would you expect Hart to say? Do you really think Hart would tell an emailer what plans he has for the future. I really think you are more intelligent than that.
Again, show me evidence of what Hart has done to date to deserve what you say of him. He has shown many improvements within the organization and has not yet had the timing or opportunity to fire and hire. My guess is he is working on that but I do not expect him to tell me what he is doing, or you, or even PoconoPony.

The C of C is paying JJ's salary and I expect that gives THEM the right to decide whether he should stick around and earn what those guys have committed to paying him.

Hart will not and should not tip his hand, that would be a disaster. I want to see what he can do before commenting one way or the other.. I have emailed him to express my displeasure with the state of the football program. I am just one SMU supporter so it will not make a big difference but he needs to know there is a growing concern with what is going on with this team. Just a simple respectful email is all that is needed, sending a rude and nasty email will accomplish nothing

I would think he might say something like- we are consistently evaluating all of our programs and the level of progress they are making........ Instead of saying we are competitive (which of course we have seen that we are not) and 'well coached' .
OK- I'm finished with this topic. We can just agree to disagree. I am sure you are far more patient than I am. I also would not send him an email that was abusive etc, etc.

Hart isn't going to say anything negative about the coach that the national media still sees as the "savior" of the post death penalty SMU football program
now if you hear "we've seen enough" from the C of C...that's a different story

I do not think I am more patient. I actually think we both want the same thing. Difference is I am putting my faith in Hart for now until he gives me a reason not to.
Not sure if firing now would be right or not. That is why they get the big bucks. If you need a mortgage, then I will talk.

I deal with low/moderate income borrowers exclusively but I do see other rates sometimes. I believe we are at 4.5% on Jumbo. Could be 4.25%. My loans are currently at 3.75%., but you do not qualify. Drop your income to $34,800/year or less for a while and we will talk.

Sent my Tweet. Hart doesn't care one iota what I think, but if 1,000 irrelevant alums like me light up his Twitter feed, it might make a difference.
