Last yr vs this yr

Did the offense look this bad last yr? If I remember it looked pretty bad but was it this bad?? We beat a terrible SFA team, got clobbered by Baylor. Beat a terrible UTEP team not playing well at all.... Same WR drops, lack of execution (we cant make plays at the right time), no emotion. I can hardly remember any first downs yesterday. Always seemed like it was 3rd and out. Flea flicker was great followed by a terrible penalty. As many have pointed out 3rd and short and we throw 20 yds downfield, makes zero sense. i would prefer a 2 yd drag route if you are going to throw it.

Gilbert played very different yesterday than the 1st 3 games - forcing throws, dumb mistakes and decisions. It was strange - he looked like a different player. I saw one zone read attempt - but many other times when it would have been open.

Last year we had a huge TO margin in a lot of games where the offense didn't even play well. In a game like yesterday, you have to take advantage and score td's. we just can't ever do that.

Rush offense was better (pretty much because of Zach Line) and pass offense was worse (drops, picks and inaccurate deep balls were plentiful).
