My God how pathetic, those two are made for each other. Though I think they're broke and probably can't pay off two fired coaches and still have money for June.

Jones could go back to Hawaii and pull a Chris Ault (who came out of retirement to take a cellar-dwelling Nevada team and make them competitive again in his 2nd stint as their head coach). Jones proved with the ASU fiasco he doesn't want to be here and I think that would be a good solution for all parties. He did well at Hawaii before and he might be successful there again.

His SMU buy out and 12 million he already has earned could serve as his Hawaii HC salary. Hawaii's problem is solved!

Can we arrange a trade of June Jones for Norm Chow? Hire a HC that will take Chow as OC on his staff. Invest in some stud recruiters, possibly Lane Kiffin as recruiting coordinator and get things rolling.

So you want to trade one aging, overrated offensive guru for another?

Our single biggest issue is player personnel. If we managed to land great players the offense would not be the problem. I am simply advocating for making good use of our resources. At this point I think both Hawaii and SMU would benefit from that trade. Just look at Chow's success as a coordinator at BYU and USC. Give him great players and he will have us playing exciting football.

All of you complaining about the age of the head coach need to realize Saban is older than Jones. I am not nearly as concerned about the age of the head coach as I am those with whom he surrounds himself.

That said, I personally would prefer someone on the younger more energetic side but if a Larry Brown situation arose with an older coach that had the connections to bring in a young active staff I would be fine. Just do not know if that person exists.

You are correct, it is who the HC surrounds himself with. It does not hurt that Saban has a few national championships on his resume. Larry Brown same situation. :D
