SMU coach June Jones was asked about schools showing little patience for head coaches.
"Dynamics have completely changed in our business," Jones said. "It started maybe 15 or 18 years ago with talk radio. Now it's social media. There's a lot more scrutiny on coaches, and coaches are getting paid a whole lot more money than they were."
Jones said he was surprised by Pasqualoni's firing.
"That's a guy that knows football as well as any guy that I've ever sat down and talked to," Jones said. "To not be given a chance, the opportunity, to build a program … in this day and age, it's kind of shocking to me. I don't understand the dynamics of that whole situation up there, but I know that Paul is a great football man and a good guy and I just think sometimes life isn't fair."

Pasqualoni was in his 3rd year and he went 0-4 to start the season. The AD did what he had to do as the program was on a downward spiral.

Let's just hope that they do not start playing better under T. J. Weist (interim HC) because SMU needs a win against UConn.

I noticed they lopped the head off the assistent head coach too-can UCONN replace the two job openings in mid-season? Not sure. SMU would probably wait to save a few bucks
