If we are ever going to implement the zone read this is the game. We should be able to take advantage of our own weakness.

One would love to see GG in a moving pocket, roll outs and boot legs. Talk about screwing up the Rutgers D line ambitious plans! Plus that would put pressure on the edges, create very difficult situations for the Rutgers corners and safeties, and open up the field for GG to exercise his passing and running abilities. This is an opportunity to turn a weakness into a strength;. And the timing couldn’t be better.

They seem to be overconfident which would play right into our hands.

On pace to give up 51 sacks on the season. Hope Gilbert makes it through in one piece.

So they compare their defense to those of TCU, Tech and A$M. ("If they can do it, we can do it") We'll see if they are that good or we are really that bad.

What? Wes Saun's gonna Coach-em up- just like he did in that famous Weed Eater Bowl with 3 days of fundamentals that Klemm forgot to teach

I get a kick out of our team being referred to as "pass happy". I guess our intent to be pass-happy leads to the same defensive game plan.

I agree with Ponyte. Gilbert seems to do very well rolling out and passing. He has thrown some beautiful accurate passes doing that. HOWEVER, JJ will do what he does, regardless.
Long live Inez Perez!

The SMU offensive game plan against TCU was a joke. The SMU wide receivers are not capable of challenging a good secondary like TCU's unless they have to worry about the run. I won't say SMU "abandoned" the run because they never really tried to run. As a result, the TCU CBs locked down the SMU WR's and the safeties didn't have to stay honest against a run threat. The result were the twenty sacks and the ten picks or whatever.

A normal team can run the ball on 3rd and 1 and get a first down - But SMU has to chuck the ball down field. SMH.

It's a joke against any team that isn't terrible.

Remember 2012, 1st and goal against TCU, didn't get a point.

But I thought A&M had one of the worst defenses in the country!!! That's why we were supposed to make it a competitive game, I thought. Or am I getting my sunshine facts mixed up?
