Offensive LineSaw where Daniel McCarthy, freshman is starting. What's happened to Ashcraft? Has he played this year?
Re: Offensive LineHe's played in all 4 games, looked terrible at times (TCU) other times relatively decent (Montana State).

Re: Offensive LineAren't they moving Ashcraft to guard?

Re: Offensive LineVery simply- the O line is a disaster. No protection- no nada. Will be interesting to see what they can do against a lower level D1 team.
Re: Offensive LineO line has looked bad. I hope they can find the right combination.
Re: Offensive LineBad would be an improvement.
Re: Offensive LineWhat's up with Seaver Myers? Thought he was "penciled in" to start at RT this summer, but havent seen or heard much of him

Re: Offensive Line
I think both the D line and O line will do better against a lower level D1 like Rutgers. #HammerDown

I disagree and think Rutgers DLine will eat our OLine alive 2005 PonyFans.com Rookie of the Year Award Recipient
Re: Offensive Line
There's nothing "lower-level" about Rutgers (just beat a SEC team). Let's not forget that our trench players got punked by Bozeman College a few weeks ago. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Re: Offensive LineLasecki and Gottschalk have been quite good. Everyone else sucks.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Offensive LineThe O line was pretty bad last year at the beginning of the season. Think of all those times GG got sacked/killed. And the O line improved. Nothing prevents this O line from improving.
Now will they improve enough to take charge of the game Saturday is to be seen. It would help the O line if we could move GG around (roll outs, bootlegs et al). That would take some pressure off the O line and making blitzing a bit more of a challenge.
Re: Offensive Line
We will see. We had a real OL coach last year. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Offensive LineWes Saun's offensive line coaching genius and tactical mastermind reportedly won the Tide-y Bowl single-handedly with only 2 weeks to prepare back in 2011. Thank you very much. He'll coach'em up

Re: Offensive LineGood point stallion. I think we were all excited by Suan moving into the Oline position after that game.
Gottschalk has been awesome this year, but was hurt in the TCU game, no idea if he will be available. Lasecki I have actually been disappointed with this season when I watched the oline on game replays. He missed several blocks in the Tech and TCU games. Outside of Gottshalk, everyone has struggled. There are some plays we get beat on physically, but a lot of times the line is making mental mistakes, not targeting the correct players to block. Hopefully those can get corrected as players get more experience as the season goes along. Myers was expected to compete, but was injured for all of Fall Camp. I don't know what his status is now.
