Funny. We were talking about those yesterday. It is my understanding that Nike chose not to make SMU ones last season and now stopped making them for anyone. I hear they may be evaluating starting again and we'll ask again. Yeah, black looks good with Baylor Green and Gold or TCU purple. Black and Red...Tech. Black and Blue...not so good and how we feel after a game. Black with red and blue...haven't seen any version of that that looks worth a damn...particularly bad with a white helmet. If you want a dark mean looking uniform you have to go back to PB's uni. SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
