I would ask you to post a reply to this email in favor of.. or otherwise for the creation of a forum called "Around the Hilltop".
This would help keep unrelated topics off the football board and create more use of the website.. IMO.
Things like local bands playing or reviews, restaurant talk, ticket exchange for season ticket holders not able to make a game, good deals you're wanting to pass on to other alums/friends of SMU, maybe your take on politics.. LOGO Talk..
With the football season upon us.. the website will most likely start getting more exposure. Why not create an additional forum to hold more lasting interest for those browsing?
Can i hear a second? .. thoughts? Webmaster?

Just do it. If we don't like it, we won't use it.
Many people post on the football forum because that is the most read. It is not like we have 10,000 people posting every day and creating a lot of non football posts.
If it is a major job to create another forum then I would think twice, but if it is simple, then do it.

Well done! Great addition. Now the football board can be about SMU football. Bands, library debate, description of someone's margaritas can stay there for those who want to read it. Kudos to WorldStang for the suggestion.
