Garrett Gilbert

Just wanna give a shoutout to Garrett Gilbert. Played a hell of a game. he makes this team much better than what it actually is. It's a shame his O-line is complete garbage.

His line: 45/70, 484 yards, 5 TDs, 0 INT... i repeat.. 0 INTs!

Gilbert was unbelievable.
70 throws without an interception?
484 yards
5 touchdown passes
2 touchdown runs

That's a video game stat line. Unreal.

What a great guy! He plays so hard. I hate moral victories but the guys should not have their heads down.

Tough kid no doubt. Definitely the team's MVP. I think his value to some of our fans won't be truly appreciated until he's no longer here. His stats are going to be monstrous by the time the season is over. What's the SMU single season passing yards record? I'm sure he'll get it. I wish he could get the TD record, too, whatever it is. Couldn't happen to a better kid from what I can tell. I just wish we had better guys around him, namely the OL. He won't finish with a great W/L record, but he's one of the best pure passers SMU has ever had (probably the strongest ARM we've ever had).

Great game by Gilbert. Just think what your offense could do if you had a running game.

Just think what his stats would look like if our O line could give him better protection. Some moron in our section was all over him early on, but he left the game well before seeing Gilbert bring us back into the game and give us a shot to win. Typical. If anyone else on here still thinks GG is one of our problems, then they are an idiot.
