Great Job Mustang FANS

Postby Stallion » Sat Oct 05, 2013 5:00 pm

The REAL Mustang Fans who stayed were outstanding late in the 4th and on every damn play in overtime. 4,000 REAL Mustang fans made a helluva lot of noise. Shaking my head at the rest of you that didn't bother to show up or left at halftime. There's a lot of quit in our fanbase

Agreed, but...
Game presentation killed chants like S-M-U or De-Fense

It was so loud Rutgers even had a false start in OT. Crazy.

It is a shame so many people left. I just don't understand that way of thinking.

Just saw the game lead off the ESPNews SportsCenter and the stadium looks pathetic. Depressing.

I stayed the whole game. We did not fall behind for lack of effort. I was surprised and proud of how we came back and almost won the game.

204 Row 12. Almost broke the benches, making that noise with two fellow Mustang Lettermen. We don't leave until the last whistle blows.

I had a last second business thing that kept me in Cali unfortunately but I heard the bench beating watching it on ESPN. I also heard someone yell: "we're down 2 touchdowns June throw the ball deep!" in a heavy Texas accent (was that Stallion?). Then, of course, the next play we throw the bomb to Taylor. :-)

We are a small fan base, but we are dedicated. It's a start.

Agreed. The fans that stayed were pretty loud and engaged.

This is the first year in over a decade that I did not purchase 4 season tickets. I had planned to buy them at the ticket window today because I wanted to see how the weather was. It was just my son and I this time and I ended up buying 2 tickets for $15 each in sec 203 from a passerby looking to get rid of 2 extra tickets. We ended up sitting high up in 204 and really enjoyed the view (our normal seats had been row 6 in sec 106). Me and everyone else in close by sections did our best Neil Peart impression, banging on everything we could every time Rutgers had the ball in the OT periods. Entertaining game. Disappointing result.
