Was JR playing his man on the line of scrimmage or was he back off off him? I could not tell.
not sure but on a 3rd and 25 id like to think he was instructed to play deep

We lost because our field goal kicker cannot consistently kick a point after.

I think we lost for 2 main reasons;
1. We were physically manhandled on both sides of the ball 2. for some damn reason SMU Coaches didn't watch the Fresno tapes and realize just how bad Rutgers secondary sucks in the secondary until well into the 2nd Half. The lights comes on and they finally aggressively attacked the defense.

Actually, I do not think that is a reason we lost. You will have to walk me through it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

I think the Rutgers defense figured out of Shead was in it was a run if Line is in its a pass.

I agree. I was surprised how heavy we went to the ground game when we could have gone vertical on them and made hay. We were definitely were outmuscled on the line.

If we have a stronger defensive line we stop those 2 4th down conversions and win the game.

It seems the coaching staff has a hard time figuring out who should be playing on both sides of the ball i.e. Taylor,Yenga etc.on a regular basis. There are some other receivers [outside of Taylor] I think who are every bit as good or better than some of the starters but NEVER get into a game to show their wares.

100% disagree, that was not a problem. We got the 2 pointer to make up for it but even if he made it and the one on the next TD, the score would be equal and tied for OT.
