Has the Burger Bunch ever rated Gazebo's (Preston & Royal, I think). Really good burgers. Give 'em a shot.

A great burger. But disappointing fries, IMO.

Gazebo Burger has good fries. Great turkey burgers. However, I have to admit that the best Turkey Burger I ever had was at Fuddruckers of all places. I try to stay away from the burgers...it doesn't help the waistline and it doesn't need any help.

We live just around the corner from Gazebo (west of Preston Road on Royal Lane, south side of street) and have frequented them quite often over the past couple of years. Unfortunately, we're of the opinion that Gazebo's has dropped in quality and value over the past few months. Like Fuddrucker's, you're able to put your own toppings on your burger. However, the taste of the burger patty has dropped. Either they've changed their meat supplier or they need to clean the grilles. It's just not that good anymore, IMO.

I think I may have posted this 4,000 plus posts ago, but Kincaids's Grocery has award winning hamburgers

This old fashioned grocery store off Camp Bowie in west Fort Worth only serves as an eatery now, but you can see remnants inside this place of business of an era long past as an old time grocery store that once served its neighborhood quite well I'm sure.

Just watched a program on The Food Network called "The Food Network Challenge: Build a Better Burger". Over 4,000 people from around the country competed and the field was narrowed down to 10 who vied for a $50,000 prize! Entries included Feta Sun-Dried Tomato Prosciutto Burgers and Southwest Chili Burgers Avocado Crema and Lime-Marinated Slaw. But the winner was cooked up by Texan Chris Stephenson from Friendswood, Texas (just south of Houston)...a Grilled California Avocado B-L-T Burger with Caramelized Chipotle Onions. If you want to see the entire episode to see the other entries (another contestant was from Ingram, Texas...just west of Kerrville), tune in at midnight tonight or June 26 at 2 p.m. Here's the link for the winning recipe.

THIS gets pushed to the general board, but the never-ending GB library debate remains on the football page?
That's just wrong. Walk outside any stadium on game day, and you'll see folks cooking .... BURGERS. They are a part of football (unless you're at a 49ers game, where fans -- seriously -- sit in the parking lot eating their sushi and drinking chardonnay. It's terrifying. But I digress....)
How often do you see folks racing to the library to get a pre-game read in, or to look up something? Never! There are a few inalienable rights that go along with being a football fan, and the consumption of massive amounts burgers makes the list as one of those rights. Bump the library threads, and put the Burger Wars thread where it belongs -- on the football board!
After all, we owe it to the visiting fans to present them with a coherent list of the best Dallas has to offer when they visit our city to watch their teams lose to the Mustangs, right?

Went to Humperdink's last night, the one on Greenville Avenue. I don't remember the bugers being anywhere near that bad. Thankfully, the beer was cold, and there was a lot of it.

I'm kinda surprised to hear that. It's been awhile since I've eaten there and it wasn't on our list during the "War", but the last hamburger I had there wasn't half bad. Since they some times have SMU games on their tubes, I gota hope you just hit a bad day.

At long last, I finally got to Keller's (NW Hwy, east of Abrams) today. Not what you call a high-frills place, that's for sure. It's a drive-up place, like Sonic with a little character. The burger was good, I think -- it's so thin it was hard to tell. Next time, I'll order a double. But the flavor was there, and the bun was excellent. (The fries were awful, but this is about the burger, not the fries.) I'm not completely sold, but it was pretty tasty. I'll be back.
