Nope. It's smu red and smu blue. Check out the official website which says: "The University’s first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as the school colors to symbolize SMU’s high standards. The colors are much darker than the red and blue used today, which we call SMU Red and SMU Blue."
Yes it does say that and I would like to know what yahoo made that decision. Who exactly are the "we" in the statement quoted above. What a crock.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Exactly.
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

I concur. We are Harvard red and Yale blue after all let's be proud of both of our colors!

Thank you for the correction. I think than someone needs to tell the corral people that since that's what I got first coming to SMU also someone needs to update the Wikipedia for SMU cause it says Harvard Red and Yale Blue.

I never liked Harvard-father graduated from Yale Law School-kick Harvard Red to the curb. Maybe let them have small supporting role in highlighting the Blue

So our colors now have no meaning at all...solid move SMU. Should have gone with Harvard-ish Red and Yale-y Blue

Had a bitchin' one in the 80s... Maybe something like what the men's soccer team has rolled out the past couple of seasons?

if all our fans, actually, scratch that.
if 50% of our fans wore red or blue, i'd be a huge success.
