Re: Congrats from a KU fan
KU fans are pretty excited about this guy. Bet he ends up around 6-8 in most rankings. The good news for SMU is that 1) it provides more clarity as one more spot is gone, and 2) it makes Kensucky even suckier (is that really a word?). Pony up!

suckier (is that really a word?).[/quote] Yeah! Why not? 2015 INDIANAPOLIS OR BUST
Re: Congrats from a KU fanI admit I know about as much about basketball as I know about constructing a bridge across the Atlantic Ocean. That said, I find it almost a dream that a KU fan (a perennial basketball powerhouse) would come on this site and talk respectfully about the SMU program. Have we really come that far?
Now I am getting excited about SMU basketball. I do wonder, is it possible to become good enough in basketball to attract P-5 interest in the future?
Re: Congrats from a KU fanI don't think it can hurt. And it is awesome to have fans of schools with real basketball pedigree visiting. I look forward to the day when the respectful tone turns to envy...
Mustangs Abu!
Re: Congrats from a KU fan
Kansas' experience when UT, OU, TT and OSU were going to head toward the PAC16 would suggest no. The only possible counterexamples come from the ACC, where Syracuse and Pitt, for example, added high-quality basketball and not much recent football tradition at all.
Re: Congrats from a KU fan
Kansas, at the time, had the added challenge of being tied to K-State politically. If those four broke away and the Big 12 collapsed today there would be a different outcome. Pony up!
Re: Congrats from a KU fan
Kansas' elected officials would now be prepared to let Kansas swim and KSU sink? Even if so, I recall the issue on both being that they didn't bring tv eyeballs.
Re: Congrats from a KU fan
KU is the #2 $$ school in the Big 12 (behind only UT). They would 100% be in the Big 10 today if not for the Grant of Rights. Pony up!
