Street parking space south of campus

Post by PK »

FYI. While driving through the neighborhood south of campus after our last game I noticed that they have the no parking signs on only one side of each street. That means that there is still street parking available, just not as much as before. First come...
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

I walk to every game from my house three quarters of a mile north of campus. There are probably 20,000 parking spaces I pass during my walk. Don't understand what the big deal is.

I hope something can be done about the parking. I listened to suggestions on parking from this board and parked across 75 for the Texas Tech game. There wasn't enough parking over there either. Then we had to wait and wait in a long line for a bus to take us to SMU. On the way back we were probably the only SMU fans on the bus and we had to listen to the Texas Tech fans laugh at SMU football.

I really don't want to do that again.

Park at any dart station and take the train to Mockingbird. Before I had a parking pass we did that from Plano every game. Walk from the station to blvd/Ford. Easy.

I prefer to walk from Mockingbird if I do not have a parking pass. I agree with jpe747. The bus ride back to Mockingbird after a loss is usually filled with primarily the visitors and after a loss it is brutal to sit there. They are always nice but mostly in a condescending way. Or they do not see you and you have to listen to their crap.
