SMU #90 in Projected BCS Standingshttp://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/rankings/bcs
SMU (#90) is below: Houston (#31) TCU (#49) Rice (#54) Tulane (#62) North Texas (#72) Texas State (#87) Are SMU officials discussing a plan to address this? This little caring about football experiment that we started a few years ago is in the ditch. Does it end here or do we get more money for the next level coaching upgrade?
Re: SMU #90 in Projected BCS StandingsThat high, eh?
Re: SMU #90 in Projected BCS StandingsI feel bad for the teams behind us. I mean we are dealing with a coach who literally calls his OOC games "preseason" and cant seem to get his team under his 6th year ready for the regular season games. Also he doesn't recruit and only has success when its prior coaches recruits...
Re: SMU #90 in Projected BCS Standingswe've become a joke
Re: SMU #90 in Projected BCS StandingsIt is the fault of we old people!!
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: SMU #90 in Projected BCS Standings
a 1-4 record will do that to you. Note: we have played the #4 hardest schedule in FBS (though last week), 6th this week
Re: SMU #90 in Projected BCS StandingsSo, you're sayin' there's a chance!

Re: SMU #90 in Projected BCS Standings
This is very interesting. I view the game against Memphis as a lose-lose for us. If we win, we gain no credibility. If we lose, we drop even lower. For whatever June did at the beginning of his tenure, he's eroding all of it with his current disinterest for being the football coach at SMU.
Re: SMU #90 in Projected BCS StandingsWe've come full circle. Thanks June!
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: SMU #90 in Projected BCS Standings
Well at least he loves his players. It is often questionable whether or not he has any love for SMU and its small group of loyal fans. SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: SMU #90 in Projected BCS StandingsI think we can all fairly assume he loves his $2mm/annual paycheck for doing little to no recruiting and running off of a system he ran in the 1980s. Talk about bang for your buck. Too bad it's on SMU's dime, and the real cost (as well as opportunity cost) for not acting sooner will be painfully felt by these few loyal fans, SMU alums as a whole, and to a certain extent you could argue as well as the city of Dallas (with SMU as the only D1 program in the city).
Re: SMU #90 in Projected BCS Standings
Actually, USF is a road game.
Re: SMU #90 in Projected BCS StandingsGuys, guys...once the squad learns the intricacies of the Run N Shoot...it's a complex offense...we're going to be unstoppable. Please have some patience!
Re: SMU #90 in Projected BCS Standings
I am tempted to say it is not questionable, in that all of the evidence tends toward "no." Except for the counterpoint of him telling LB that SMU is a great place. That really happened, right?
