I'm a bit confused by the Steelers when it comes to Beachum's placement. First he was going to play Guard, then Center, now Tackle.
I guess it's part of the process of finding out what position (or positions) he can fit best in for the team.
It's just a bit odd I guess. Regardless, I'm happy he's playing.

I think he is seen as the utility lineman and right now LT is the place where he is needed.

He has shown the intelligence to play multiple positions and that is appreciated there. Will he be able to regularly beat out top healthy players? Maybe not, but he is valuable for his reliability and versatility.

I think it was his versatility that they mentioned in one article I read. BTW, did you see the end of the game when Roth went over and thanked the linemen including Beach. Great moment.
