I wonder if these are legit plans. What I mean by legit, I mean are they actually going to happen. I mean other factors are: 1) Does this depend on us being in a P5 conference (like TCU did)? 2) Are these plans pushed on us from AAC? 3) Should we even really care until someone says we have a deposit down.

I believe these were floated around the time we were pushing the SMU-to-Big 12 campaign. If Texas and OU were playing at Ford every other year then these plans would be feasible. Obviously, right now, they aren't.

I would hope that 2nd deck on the east side is 'more on top' of the 1st level or that's going to be a very far & away seat. I'm sure it's for illustrative purposes only?

Honestly instead of a deck they should just focus on building 2nd 3rd level suites around the horseshoe. That way if we ever actually make it a big time you could just make the north and south sides double decker. Heck if they want instead of all this filling in horseshoe and double decker just leave it as it is and make a dome.

Thats why I said Suites, we seem to fill up on those right? If so, rather than this possible expansion, just instead of another deck, just put two suites on top each other and go across the East Sideline... more of a joke not actually being serious lol

yes, Ford can be expanded and seating capacity increased ...but let's work on filling Ford with our own fans before we worry about this

Very nice. Like Gary Patterson said...TCU had (has) attendance problems...but in reality, winning solves those!

They should skip filling in the horseshoe and put the second deck if they ever were going to do anything, because end zone seats suck, and even instead of that they should just put a bunch more suites over there. But they won't do any of these things because they don't need to do any of these things because our stadium is nearly half empty most of the time anyway.

I was able to drag some of my fair-weather fan friends to the tech game with the sales pitch of "But think how cool it will be to see Ford full". It works petty well on drunk people. They actually had fun too.

I will say thanks for posting though because I always had wanted to see those drawings.
