Last game we played against North Texas in Dallas had 20,517 reported attendance. The previous home game drew 10,200.

I do not believe they included the produce department in the last count.

A new coach will face the same recruiting stone wall that JJ faces. Top rated players do not want to play before small crowds. It'll just be different year, different coach, same results.

20,000 is better than 15,000-plus both programs were awful at the time. The game has the potential to be a money-maker against a program we can beat and garner substantial Metroplex attention. Extra "home" game too for each school. Lower expenses for each school. We need some games where attendance is greater than 15,000 especially if we are too frightened to play schools our fans want to see.

Yeah, I hate to say it but Stallion is right. 20K is more than we would draw for most OOC games against non-P5 schools.

The stone wall that June faces is of his own design, can't get any players if you don't bother recruiting them. Ask Larry Brown if small crowds are an excuse for poor recruiting.

LB is a big name in a honeymoon period. He said himself his ability to continue to recruit top players depends on a filled Moody. JJ doesn't have the same name draw and his turn around in year 2 only put 4,500 additional butts in the seats bring home game average attendance up to 21,814. But you're right. He should have recruited Bridgewater, Manziel, Mariota and other top players hard. Then most of those top players would be at SMU. Yeah, right. New coach, new year, same results.

Recruiting is all about effort, June has not put in any (staff full ambitionless zombies with no Texas recruiting connections) and thus hasn't gotten any results. But go ahead and keep blaming the fans for the coach not even trying doing his job.

They certainly have lost team loyalty. It astounds me to see someone from Boston wearing a Yankees shirt or someone in Dallas wearing Redskins memorabilia. That used to be suicide.

It is still suicide to wear a cowboys jersey to Lincoln Financial in Philly...

Actually, I blame the administration.
