Hardcore JJ supporters really like blaming the players

and the JJ haters blame every fumble and stupid play on the part of the players on JJ. Seriously, you can talk about some questionable play calling and clock management in that 2nd half...but much of that 2nd half debacle is because our players just make bonehead mistakes. I didn't see JJ fumble the ball once and didn't see him throw any interceptions. Whether the haters care to admit it or not, he isn't teaching guys to make those mistakes

You're right, JJ is not on the field making the mistakes but someone needs to start holding the players accountable for their mistakes....on most teams that would be the HC. Bench somebody. The mistakes happen WAY too often.

JJ hater here, but u cant put those fumble returns and pick six on JJ. i will say that the clock management was atrocious in the 2nd half tho

Mistakes arise from lack if preparation. You prepare players in such a way that they don't make boneheaded mistakes in pressure situations. If you don't prepare them with fundamentals and protocols, they do. That's why other teams aren't suffering the same boneheaded ness we are.

Otherwise, you'd be forced to believe we have an entire team of the most boneheaded play-making players in America. Occam's razor.

Our offense is difficult to run and takes 2 years to learn for any player. They just need more time, guys!

The hardcore JJ supporters are not saying anything about clock management, One thread started out talking about clock management but the hardcore JJ supporter quickly pointed out that it was all the players fault. There is enough blame to go around and JJ is not immune.

We haven't done it once this year and for rarely during JJ's time here. I am nor just talking about losing. We do it in our wins and losses.

I think that has to be some reflection on the coach. This is not a bash at JJ. This is a legitimate issue that the team blows do hot and cold.

The team would be a lot more fun to watch if it was more consistent

I completely agree. This team has not put together four good quarters of football all year. We played great in the first half of the Tech, TCU and Memphis games only to quit midway through the 3rd in each game.

And played a bad first half against MSU and a bad first three quarters against Rutgers.

I am not sure why, but it needs to get fixed.
