Credit where credit is dueThe coaching staff had the team ready and a good gameplan for the first half.
It's too bad that I can't give any credit at all for the second half.
Re: Credit where credit is dueNOOOOOOOO credit givennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

Re: Credit where credit is duethey did come out firing on all cylinders and that was fun, but that was textbook how NOT to play with a big lead. To be fair, I doubt that's something this team never considered they would have to deal with
Re: Credit where credit is dueI will Give them credit for demonstrating how to screw up a blowout.
Re: Credit where credit is dueCoaches changed the game plan in the second half, took the foot off the gas and went passive.
Re: Credit where credit is dueJune is a big 'ole sockless, overhead projecting .... -you can finish the sentence however you like.
Re: Credit where credit is duealex - i disagree - they were just calling block headed stuff - and horrible clock mgmt. If anything they didn't take foot off gas enough. Needed our running game to step up - but they were afraid to try that.
Re: Credit where credit is dueI had the feeling that Rutgers took the foot off the pedal against us with a 21point lead. They raked their coach over the coals as well.
Re: Credit where credit is due
Over head projector in locker room didn't work during halftime. GO MUSTANGS!
Re: Credit where credit is dueNot to interrupt the JJ hate, but it's not like they stopped playing. My TV is pretty good, and it was Shead who got stripped, not JJ. It was Gilbert who threw the pick-6, not JJ. Didn't see him drop a single pass, either. I'm not saying he was perfect. Far from it. But all season, we have started out slowly. Today, we didn't, so that's an improvement, and I'm in favor of improvement. Above all, an ugly win (and make no mistake, this win was ugly) is better than a pretty loss.
Re: Credit where credit is due
Agree with you gostang. We made incompletions stopping the clock when we could have run the ball and taken time off the clock. I know JJ suck ups like Thumper/Corso want to blame the players but the coaches are just as responsible for the play calling. #HammerDown
Re: Credit where credit is dueemphasis on protecting the ball is part of the coaching job. If the ball carrier is sloppy when handling the ball it reflects on his coaching.
Re: Credit where credit is due
Coaches teach how to carry the ball tight to the body. Coaches teach QB's to not lock in on a receiver, to make better decisions on the field. Yes it does fall on the coaches. GO MUSTANGS!
Re: Credit where credit is due
seriously? I guess it has nothing to do with the players lack of ability
Re: Credit where credit is duePlay formations, clock management and play calls in 4th Q get an F. Shead fumbled but Gilbert shouldn't be passing in that situation. What did we take 25 seconds off the clock with 5 minutes left. that's ridiculous. Put in TE-preferably 2 TEs or a FB and run the damn ball. Oh don't have those formations or players? Right poor program management too. Most program even those that spread the field have Jumbo packages. No team is out of it when June has a big lead. Just like Tulsa last year
