Are you happy about the way the game was played?

No, but when your running back has the ball and his manhood completely ripped out of his hands without the ball ever hitting the ground, that one isn't on the coach.

To be fair the worst coaching decision has to go to Memphis' coach by not kicking a FG at some point towards the end of their drive at the end. It was a 2 score game moron. Way to waste all the time on the clock attempting to score a TD, when you knew no matter what happened that there needed to be time for an onside kick and at least one play whether you scored a TD or FG. Now that's stupid coaching.

Didn't see him drop a single pass, either. I'm not saying he was perfect. Far from it. But all season, we have started out slowly. Today, we didn't, so that's an improvement, and I'm in favor of improvement. Above all, an ugly win (and make no mistake, this win was ugly) is better than a pretty loss.

Coaches teach how to carry the ball tight to the body. Coaches teach QB's to not lock in on a receiver, to make better decisions on the field. Yes it does fall on the coaches.

seriously? I guess it has nothing to do with the players lack of ability

On PonyFans it only matter that your emotions are validated. We were in total control of that game from the start.

I am as nervous an SMU fan as there is and I never saw that one getting away. I'd like us to eliminate those fumbles, but we had their offense under wraps from beginning to end.

I give credit to our team almost losing to a team that was beating themselves and should consider being the champs division 3 football. Had we gone in and score like 56 points and give up 10 points I can say at least practice went well.

I think it's really safe to say, Memphis offense is its own worst enemy. I think their gameplay should be to give us the ball as quickly as they can so their defense can just pummel us and score all the defensive touchdowns. I mean our pathetic success at destroying a blowout really still doesn't compare to how awful the Memphis offense was. I think for the sake of their program, they just need to have the defense play offense as well.
