The only thing good about Dooley were his awesome orange pants. And if you want a coach with Texas ties Tim deruyter (Fresno st Hc) was the a&m d coordinator and has the bulldogs up to 15 in the nation. Make s a 1/4 of June's salary in Fresno and has them on route to a potential fiesta bowl.

This is obviously what SMU desperately needs, but I know how SMU thinks. We're going to throw piles of cash at the problem and the fossils up in the suites who provide that cash aren't going to be happy giving it to anyone born after 1970.StallionsModelT wrote: We should go the young and hungry route. Look at what Coach Bro is doing at Tech. He hired a bunch of young and motivated coaches who are bringing innovative concepts and relentless recruiting to the program. They are all over social media and engaging with what the kids of today want to see and hear. They play an exciting brand of football and have already made major inroads with regards to recruiting. I think a program like ours should follow their lead. We need charisma and energy especially after the funeral-like personality of June.
Hey, it's their money and they deserve to have a say... but their expertise is hiring upper management for their oil company. They're not capable of making a pick like Kingsbury.

43 at those stops is not young and upcomingLHS81 wrote:What about Ball St football coach, Pete Lembo? He's 43 years old and has a 101-47 record in stops at Lehigh, Elon, and currently at Ball St. Fits the description of a young up & coming coach. . . Only drawback is he has no ties to Texas high school football.
