On the one hand people are ripped for penciling in losses, on the other hand they are ripped for thinking positively. Tough crowd.
I know this may come as a shock to some of you, but there actually IS a difference between the head coach and random fans posting on an internet forum.
Random fans are ripped for both of those things. I was not talking about the coach even though I used the pencil in wording, I should have used different wording.

However, they are confident and some who haven't been paying attention think they are good bc they have a good W-L (again, because they played nobodys). This why I've been advocating a similar schedule for us (in the short term).
Just saw this post. Ojai, I usually agree with you but are you being serious. If you think we're anywhere near as talented as UH you're kidding yourself. They've lost one game, by one point to BYU. BYU dominated Texas and and they are blowing out Boise tonight. Their skill position players are miles ahead of ours. It's not even close.
SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs
BYU has pieced together an interesting schedule-they want to be nationally recognized not just get to a Bowl. They play 6 BCS schools including Texas, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Utah, Georgia Tech, Virginia, plus 4 reputable non-BCS teams like UH, Boise St, Nevada and Utah St(especially before they lost Coach) -also a pretty decent Middle Tennessee St that is better than most think. BYU is playing great football right. Don't understand anybody claiming that UH didn't play a great ballgame to stay with BYU last week. I think BYU is a borderline Top 25 kind of like where Tech will end up
well UH has a (high performing) freshman QB and they still miss their RB Charles Sims so I think they are more like Top 50 but hey that's not bad for an AAC schools. They still have a lot to prove but that SMU v. UH game at Reliant is going to be a tough win and it will probably determine our bowl status
