I just hope the kid is ok. It's sad that the first thoughts of some people is to insult June and his staff.

Yeah, kind of weird isn't it. Every thread now has an insult. Shows it is time.

So's your face
There's my insult. My face isn't so great either though...

I thought he was supposed to be a great addition to the team. What are the details of his departure?

Re: Lincoln Richard No Longer On Team
what the hell is this? our recruiting classes have become crap and the only players worth a damn end up leaving before seeing the field.

any reasons why he left?
Re: Lincoln Richard No Longer On Team
Word is he lost his Mojo/passion for the game. Whether that has something to do with limited PT so far this year, seeing others ahead of him ... Yenga, Seals, Sanders IDK.. He is just a R-shirt Freshmen and Sanders only has one more year left ... so plenty of time. But hey, this happens often to young guys when they get into college. No more Friday night lights with HS buddies ... it's a business, a job and a adjustment in all kinds of ways, you are held accountable, and often go from BMOC to one of the guys and that can be tough for some. Some guys burn out, or decide it's no longer for me. If indeed this is what happened.
Hope it's not a serious situation, and I wish him well.

This sucks. Neroes last year and now Lincoln Richard. What's the word on Jarvis Pruitt? He's in the mix at DL right now, correct?
I'd really like to get Josh Ehambe, OLB from Prime Prep, in the mix for next year. He's Mudiay's cousin

From what I know Pruitt is still alive and kicking, and the coaches like him. I say like him, not suggesting they did not like Richards. I'm strictly talking about Pruitt. Neroes was a different story. He came in with a little chip on his shoulder. He had some discipline and outside issues going on.

football isn't for everyone and some don't realize it till later. The abuse is more than the average smart person would accept. Hate to see a guy with that much physical talent leave. hope it works out for him.
Re: Lincoln Richard No Longer On Team
Lots goes into being a successful student/football player, grades, home stability, talent, team player, etc. Also, many players peek in high school (I did) and aren't able to compete successfully in college or have other greater interests or just burn out. I think the LAST thing to think is that the coaches run a player off for no good reason. I've never saw that happen in my four years at SMU.
