Hard to find any SMU stuff in central Arkansas. Go figure.

Re: The Albertsons Test
Funny thing is Albertsons seems to be one of the few places I can find SMU shirts.
Was in the Albertson's in Plano a couple of months ago and picked up a pretty nice SMU T-shirt that I had not seen anywhere else. I also bought a SMU shirt there in the past. So Albertsons definitely does have some SMU gear, must be hit or miss.
Sports Authoriity is harder to figure out . THe Sports Authority up in Frisco on Preston has SMU shirts, hoodies, hats etc.... but the Sports Authority 4 miles south on Preston in Plano has ZERO SMU gear. Not sure how that happens.

Thanks for the heads up, Rick. We'll get our LRG rep to pay them a visit.
Please note that if you're ever out and see instances like this or get the false "I can't get an SMU license" schtick, please visit our Licensing page http://www.smumustangs.com/ot/smu-licensing.html and enter the store name and location at the bottom of the page and we will follow up with the store.
Thanks to all.
It's amazing to me that our SID comes on here and offers a solution to the problem and yet the conversation continues without so much as an acknowledgement of the post. This is a fantastic reponse to the problem.
Re: The Albertsons Test
As I recall from student in the SMU business school something about SMU being the only or one of few to retain the rights which limits exposure. Can't recall the reason.

Ummm... No. We are very flexible and easy to work with... Our rates and minimums are at or below those of our traditional rivals, conference mates and fellow Texas schools. Again, if you ever hear this from a store owner/manager, please report that to us on the page I referenced earlier. Thanks!

Supply and demand.
And yes ponyboy, I appreciate SID and his job performance. We are lucky to have someone like him who cares what we think. I had way too many conversations with him over the All Access feeds. He works very hard to try and make things good.

This is fantastic and something EVERY PonyFan can do. Go out and ask for SMU stuff, and if they give the licensing-schtick, put them on a list for our marketing teo to contact. This is great, let's get on it.

This wasn't about the SID. It's about Year 6 of JJ and merchants not stocking SMU gear because there's no demand for it.

Re: The Albertsons Test
Sadly it maybe a good response yet it hasn't really brought any stores to sell smu stud due to the supply and demand issue. I figure James Avery would eventually carry smu stuff since they carry tcu stuff (can't really give a lady something as hideous as a horn toad. They said it was a licensing issue sven after the smu rep talk to them about it.

My wife and daughter both have James Avery charms they wear to our games, and my wife also has SMU earrings and a pin. My parents have James Avery key chains. Granted we've had these awhile, but James Avery SMU stuff does exist
