Wide Receivers Lost & Found

Post by AusTxPony »

Where is Dieter? I thought it was BAll State or Bowling Green, but don't see him listed. How are he and Gabe Marks doing? Any other near misses that we wish we had? I'm d___ happy with our guys so far. JJ's a beast, DJ and Holman, wonderful surprises. Taylor looks to be something in the years to come, Sanders, Halverson, Gaines. Not bad.

Marks is having a solid year at WSU. Wish we could have held onto him

Marks is doing fine at WSU. As you know Deiter was run off by Coach Phillips and has to sit out this year. Are you mocking them or something?

I don't mock, do you? No, I had totally forgotten the sit out rule. Good for Marks he should flourish with the Pirate.

the little RB Robert Lewis-who had also committed to SMU really hasn't done much at college level for whatever reason. Sat out half a year for academics but joined team last January

He was greyshirted and I believe he is redshirting this year.

Be good for him to put on some weight. Kind of like SMU did Brian Cramer.

Robert Lewis was something like 5'8 and under 140 lbs. when he came to visit (I forget the actual numbers, but as small as his numbers where, they were grossly inflated), which is why SMU cooled on his recruitment.

Being a new hire, I guess the pirate figured he had time to let Lewis grow a bit. I guess our staff didn't feel they could take a chance on him.

SMU didn't cool on his recruitment-they simply had no chance to get the kid after Klemm left. Where do you come up with this [deleted].

I will give you credit for recruiting smarts but do not try to interpret the moves of the WDNWHA Committee.

I thought Dieter had transferred to Bowling Green, but he would have to sit out this year if that was the case. Maybe he went to FCS level or lower in which case he might be playing somewhere
